Why we built this
Most "gambling blocker" searches lead to one of two places: polished apps that cost money, or pages that look helpful but quietly earn a commission every time someone signs up to a casino. We wanted something different — a tool that is genuinely free, respects your privacy, and never profits from gambling in any form. We hold no affiliate relationships with operators and we never will.
So how is it free? It's deliberately cheap to run — a small browser extension and a lightweight site, with no servers crunching your data, no ads to sell and no operators to please. That's the whole point: nothing about this project depends on anyone gambling, so we never have a reason to nudge you back toward it.
How the blocking actually works
The extension checks each site you open against a built-in blocklist of known casinos, sportsbooks and betting sites, and adds smart detection that recognises gambling sites by their tell-tale patterns — so new and offshore sites get caught even before they reach any list. Everything runs on your device: there is no account, and your browsing is never sent anywhere. You stay in control with a personal allowlist, so you decide where the line sits.
Because the list and detection are deliberately broad, the occasional non-gambling site may be caught — one click adds it to your allowlist. We would rather err on the side of protection.
Our editorial approach
The guides on this site are written to help people reduce harm and regain control — clearly, without judgement, and without sensationalism. We don't invent statistics, and we link to recognised organisations so you can verify anything and find real support.

What we will and won't do
Being independent only means something if it's specific, so here is the line we hold. We will keep the extension free, keep it working entirely on your device, and be honest about what it can and can't do — a blocker removes easy access, but it isn't a cure on its own. We will never take payment from a gambling operator, never add affiliate links to casinos or sportsbooks, never rank or recommend places to gamble, and never sell or share data, because we don't collect any in the first place. If we ever can't keep something free, we'll say so plainly rather than quietly add a catch.
